P Chidambaram to appear before CBI on Wednesday

According to reports, former finance minister P Chidambaram will appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for questioning on Wednesday. The CBI questioning will be in connection with the INX Media case. Chidambaram was already granted interim protection from arrest till July 3 by the Delhi High Court.

CBI filed a First Information Report (FIR) to INX Media due to the alleged irregularities in the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) clearance for receiving funds worth Rs 3.05 billion. Chidambaram's son was kept in CBI custody on March 1.
