Popular E-commerce Giant To Add 7,000 More Permanent Jobs Amid Pandemic: Details 

Amid the pandemic and job crisis, E-commerce giant Amazon announced that they will create a further 7,000 permanent jobs across the United Kingdom in 2020. This big move will take total new jobs this year to 10,000. 

Giving further information on the job availability, the company said that, the new jobs would be in over 50 sites. Also, the jobs will be created at Amazon warehouses, sorting centers and delivery stations across the United Kingdom as well as its corporate offices. 

Meanwhile, the new job opportunities include engineers, graduates, human resources and technology professionals, and health and safety and finance specialists.

According to News18 report, with 7,000 new employees that’s on top of 3,000 new employees it has already added this year. The extra staff will raise its permanent British workforce to more than 40,000 by the end of 2020. With surging demand for deliveries in these times means e-commerce is a bright spot for hiring.

However, the company said in a statement, they plan to include teams who will pick, pack and ship customer orders, which will help Amazon meet growing customer demand and enable small and medium-sized enterprises selling on Amazon to scale their businesses.

Not just that, the company is also creating more than 20,000 temporary jobs ahead of the Christmas shopping season.
