Accenture, Cognizant and Wipro too are in the Frontline, Fighting against COVID-19 - Check how Differently are they Doing This?

While IT companies are trying to cope with the losses incurred due to the coronavirus pandemic on one hand, many are extending their support to fight COVID19. 

Wipro recently opened India’s first hospital dedicated to COVID19 treatment in Pune’s Hinjewadi area in Maharashtra.  The hospital has been set up on public private partnership basis. Maharashtra’s chief minister Uddhav Thackeray noted that “Wipro is also providing two well-equipped ambulances. It will now be known as the Dedicated COVIDHealth Centre.”

“They (Wipro) have given it (the hospital) to us in just one and a half months by signing a reconciliation agreement on 5 May. The hospital building is a symbol of the quality and pace at which Wipro works for the society as well. I sincerely thank Rishad Premji (Azim Premji’s son) for this," said the chief minister.

Similarly, earlier this week, Cognizant collaborated with Verily Life Sciences, a health and Science company owned by Alphabet to facilitate COVID19 testing across the United States. The IT Major will be providing a team of life sciences experts to the health and science company.

Accenture collaborated with Microsoft to develop MyGov India, a citizen engagement platform of Govt. Of India built to support the government’s communication efforts related to COVID19.
