Mithun turned out to be the star performer for Karnataka with his brilliant 20 wickets out of 9 games he played in the tournament. He finished with a thumping economy rate of 3.93 at an average of 14.55 and a strike rate of 22.22.

Though Mithun had been a part of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the earlier editions of IPL, he had played just one IPL match in his career.

It looks like the 30-year old's present form might push him forward in the upcoming IPL 2020 auction. Abhimanyu Mithun is the son-in-law of popular Tamil actress Radhika Sarathkumar.
