The Airports Authority of India has reportedly started to demolish the old domestic terminal in the Chennai airport, which is located between the International and domestic terminals. For the expansion of phase 2 in the Chennai airport, this is the first step. The total cost of the phase 2 expansion is Rs 2,000 crore. Reportedly, the construction will last for the next three years.
