This was the first ICC KnockOut Trophy tournament, which was later called as Champions Trophy. India won against the Aussies to enters semifinals and was defeated by West Indies in that round. 

India defeated South Africa by 95 runs in the semis. India faced New Zealand in the finals and lost to the Kiwis.

India won by 10 runs against South Africa in the semifinals. India and Sri Lanka were declared as co-champions due to rain during the final match.

India defeated Sri Lanka in the semifinals by 8 wickets to enter the finals. India won against England in the finals by 5 runs to clinch its second Champions Trophy.

India won the first match against Pakistan, but lost the second game against Sri Lanka. India needs to defeat South Africa to enter the semifinals.
