Union Finance Minister Piyush Goyal presented his maiden Budget at the Lok Sabha on Friday. The 'interim budget' outlined the government's plan for the year 2030.

Goyal announced an annual benefit for farmers and sops for the middle class. Goyal also explained the various schemes introduced under the Narendra Modi government in the past years. Speaking at the post-budget press conference, Goyal stated that more announcements could have been made if it were not the interim budget.
