In 2014, Virat Kohli had a transformative year. He saw the extreme ends of the game where  he performed poorly in the beginning but later he almost single-handedly won the World T20 for India. He was the Man of the Series in that World T20. He made his captaincy debut in the first Test in MS Dhoni’s absence.
