Tripathi could be yet another player who failed to be consistent in his form and might not be picked by Rajasthan Royals (RR). Earlier, he played for Rising Pune Supergiants in 2017 edition and scored brilliant 391 runs out of 14 matches with an exceptional strike rate of 146.44.

His performance triggered RR management to buy him for a huge INR 3.4 crores in IPL 2018 auction. Though he performed on a decent scale in that edition, he failed to contribute in the 2019 edition.
