Director Siddhique who made films like Friends, Engal Anna and Kaavalan in Tamil is presently remaking his Malayalam hit film Bhaskar The Rascal as Bhaskar Oru Rascal in Tamil.

This film features Arvind Swami, Amala Paul in the leads, with Nasser, Soori, Robo Shankar, Ramesh Kanna and others in the supporting cast. Baby Nainika and Raghav are the child artists. Bollywood actor Aftab Shivdasni play an important role in the film.  

The film has been shot in Cochin, Kolkata and Chennai and is in the final leg of production. The unit has plans to release the film in September. Amaresh scores music for Bhaskar Oru Rascal which has Vijay Ulaganadhan behind the camera.
