Here is the all-important update that you need to know about Mersal release issue. It was earlier reported that Mersal was not given an NOC certificate by the Animal Welfare board for not able to submit adequate documents to prove few scenes involving pigeon and snake were not shot using CGI.

Now according to the latest reports, after the discussion with the Animal Welfare Board, Mersal has been given the much needed NOC certificate. Few scenes might be trimmed but we will have to wait for an official confirmation to know if that it is true. Once the censor board clears the film considering the AWBI's NOC, Mersal would successfully cross all its hurdles.
