Vipin Atley's directorial debut Ben hits the theatres today (November 6). The film, which deals with the theme of impressionable young children and the way they absorb things and events they view in society, will also mark the debut of Vellimoonga director Jibu Jacob.
According to reports, Jibu will apparently be playing an older brother character to Suraj Venjarammoodu.
As far as his next directorial venture is concerned, Jibu will be joining hands with Mohanlal to do a full-on comedy film, based on a short story 'Pranayopanishad', where the actor is reportedly playing the character of a Panchayath president. The film is expected to go on the floors in January 2016.
Meanwhile, we're waiting to catch the director on screen with today's release. Maybe this is the first step towards taking on the role of actor-director like many others in the industry including Lal, Shyamaprasad, Jude Anthany Joseph (his hilarious cameo in Premam) and Lal Jose, who have all had donned the greasepaint to play a fictional character on screen.
