Puri Jagannadh is known for his commercial potboilers like Pokkiri and Businessman will be doing a passionate love story for the first time. The film has been titled Mehabooba, and the makers have released the first look today.

Here is what Puri Jagannadh had to say about this flick, "After finishing my Mehbooba script, I realized that I am doing a highly intense and a passionate love story for the first time ever which is completely out of my repertoire of ideas. It is a soulful love story in the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak war. Irrespective of the blood relation I share with Akash Puri, it's his love and fire towards cinema that's making me do this film with him. A Mangalorean girl named Neha Shetty will be playing the female lead. I am very happy that Sandeep Chowta is providing the music for this film. The film's shoot starts in October in picturesque locales of Himachal Pradesh and will continue in Punjab & Rajasthan as well." -Puri Jagannadh
