Yuvan Shankar Raja entered the Tamil film music scene at the age of 16. Though Aravindhan hardly took any notice, but it didn't take long enough for Yuvan to master the game as he bounced back with a successful album Poovellam Kettupar.
But it was with Selvaraghavan's Thulluvatho Illamai, Yuvan created a name for himself, until then, he was referred to as Ilayaraaja's son. But this started to change after Nanda and Thulluvatho Illamai.
With back to back successful albums like Manmathan and 7G Rainbow Colony, he had emerged into a brand called ‘Yuvan Shankar Raja’.
No matter what heights you reach, it is always a special feeling to see your kid shine in the same field that you are a master at. Director Suseenthiran and Yuvan Shankar Raja's combination have delivered successful films like Naan Mahaan Alla and Aadhalal Kaadhal Seiveer in the past, and now they have teamed up yet again for a new film.
One of Suseenthiran's upcoming directorials, titled Genius will have music by Yuvan and the Pyaar Prema Kaadhal composer recorded a new song for the film recently, which was penned by Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu. The song was crooned by Super Singer sensation Srikanth, who impressed the audience with his impeccable talent, through the show.
Yuvan Shankar Raja is also simultaneously working on the background score of the film. The makers have planned to release the film by the end of September. New face Roshan plays the male lead in the film, who has also bankrolled the venture, for his banner,, 'Sudesiwoods Films'.
