Sai Pallavi arrived with a bang with Premam in 2015. The Malayalam film was directed by Alphonse Puthiran and also starred Nivin Pauly, Anupama Parameswaran, Madonna Sebastian, and others in the principal roles. The film was a pucca entertainer. It had a simple story at its heart – the different loves the lead character George experiences at different stages of his life.
Sai Pallavi, who made her debut as the Tamil-speaking Malar teacher in the film, subsequently acted in movies like Dhanush's Maari 2, Karu directed by AL Vijay, Surya's NGK and such.
But did you know that Sai Pallavi had appeared on the Tamil screen in 2008 itself? Yes, photos of Sai Pallavi appearing in some scenes with Kangana Ranaut in the 2008 film Dhaam Dhoom that starred Jayam Ravi in the lead and directed by Jeeva are currently going viral.
However, due to the death of director Jeeva while directing Dhaam Dhoom, the film was completed and released by his wife Anisha, Manikandan and PC Sreeram. The film had music composed by Harris Jayaraj.
On the work front, Sai Pallavi has several films lined up including Rana Daggubati’s Virata Paarvam and Love Story, starring Naga Chaitanya as her pair.
