Comedian Vivekh, 59, who has acted in a number of Tamil films and is known as an iconic artist, passed recently after suffering a heart attack. People continue to mourn his demise and we had caught up with his cook Shanthi. This is what she had to say:
“He said that I cooked exactly like his wife. Lastly, he had egg made by me. He was quite active and didn’t have any major complaints, health-wise. I used to make everything and he used to say thanks. I used to mainly take tiffin to him. I haven’t served him lunch. He was a good person, so was his wife. I have not yet recovered from his demise. He never had any complaints about the food I cooked. I am trying to lend emotional support to ma’am. He used to like everything - Vazhakka (plantain), Seppangkizhangu (Taro). He doesn't cook.”
Many personalities, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami, mourned his death. Various celebrities paid homage to Vivekh's mortal remains in person.
Legendary composer Ilayarajaa has released a video, condoling Vivekh's demise. In it, he stated:
"Vivekh's demise has left me very sad. I have been in that state of grief from morning till now, unable to recover from it, because Vivekh was a person whom I had a lot of respect, love and immense admiration for. He has been a fan of mine since his American College days. Vivekh loved me enough to become an admirer and an ardent devotee. Even recently, he came and visited me. Whenever he meets me, he tells me what he is up to. I listen and encourage him. I don’t know if I can see his love and admiration in another fan. Vivekh’s family is a wonderful family that has affection and love on me. I am well aware that his demise would have caused immense grief to his family. I pray to the Lord that his family will come back from that grief. I pray for the grace of God for his soul to rest in peace.”
