The High Court has ordered an interim injunction in a case filed by a filmmaker seeking a ban on the release of the film Chakra starring Vishal in the lead and sent notices to Vishal and director MS Anandan.
Actor Vishal - Tamannaah starrer 'Action' was produced by Ravindran of Trident Arts. Ravindran alleges that he has been contracted to produce the story of Chakra and therefore, sought an injunction restraining the release of the film.
The case came up for hearing before Judge CV Karthikeyan. Vijayan Subramaniam, counsel appearing for the petitioner Ravindran at the time, had sought an injunction restraining the release of the film Chakra while their plaintiff was in possession.
Following this, Judge Karthikeyan imposed an interim injunction on the release of Chakra. Actor Vishal and director Anand have been ordered to send notices to explain the case with the same being adjourned till February 18.
