Kerala has been hit by incessant rains for the past few days, which has resulted in most of the districts in the state being flooded. Following this, the state has been receiving help from all quarters. The movie industry also started donating towards this cause. 

The latest actor to do his part was Actor Vikram. The Saamy Square actor donated a massive 35 Lakh as relief fund, and also wrote a letter to Pinrayi Vijayan, the Chief Minister of Kerala. The letter read: 

"Respected Sir, 

It is a humble contribution that we offer to assuage the colossal anguish of the people of Kerala. Out prayers are continuously offered to bring normalcy back to the people of Kerala state. 

This was followed by the details of the cheque, contributed towards the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund(Kerala State)."

Vikram joins the huge list of actors like Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Karthi, Suriya, Vijay Deverakonda, Mohanlal, Mammootty and others, to donate for the cause.

Chiyaan Vikram is currently awaiting the release of Dhruva Natchathiram which seems to see light before the end of the year. He is also working on director Hari's Saamy Square. The actor who is currently out of town, wasn't able to make it to Dr. M. Karunanidhi's funeral that is happening at Rajaji Hall in Chennai. The body will be buried in Marina this evening.

Since the actor was not able to make to the ceremony, he sent his condolences through a statement. It read: "India's most experienced political leader, 5-time Chief Minister, Dr. M Karunanidhi's demise was a huge shock to me and it brought grief."

He also added that: "Since I'm out of town, I am not able to make to the funeral and pay homage. I would like to deliver my condolences to everyone who has been affected by the irreparable loss."
