Ace director Mani Ratnam's latest release was Chekka Chivantha Vaanam starring a host of stars like STR, Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Arun Vijay, Jyothika, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Aditi Rao.
Now, there is a lot of talk about his next multi-starrer film which is the film adaptation of Ponniyin Selvan. This film was earlier supposed to kickstart many years ago with other big stars. Now, Mani Ratnam has apparently shown interest in reviving the project.
While there were talks of actors like Vijay, STR, Vikram, and Jayam Ravi starring in this biggie, there was no official word from the Nayagan director's side.
Now, according to our reliable sources, we have managed to crack one actor who is definitely a part of this ambitious project. That is none other than Chiyaan Vikram. The immensely talented actor has previously starred in Mani Ratnam's Raavanan.
Vikram is currently busy with the shooting of Kadaram Kondaan and the multi-lingual magnum opus Mahavir Karna. The source also adds that a project with director Ajay Gnanamuthu of Imaikka Nodigal fame is on the cards.
So, it looks like Mani Ratnam too will complete his commitments of co-writing and producing his associate Dhana's next, before moving on to Ponniyin Selvan.
