Vijay Television has officially announced that they will be re-telecasting the evergreen spoof comedy show Lollu Sabha during this quarantine period. The show will be airing on 7:30 AM from Monday to Friday, starting from April 6.
Featuring rib-tickling parodies of several highly-appreciated films, Lollu Sabha was the calling card for several comedians and actors of the Tamil film industry, with notable ones including Santhanam, Lollu Sabha Manohar, Swaminathan, Easter and Jeeva.
The show also featured the early appearances of actor Yogi Babu, who is currently the most sought-after comedy actors of Kollywood. The show premiered in 2004, and had a successful three-year run till 2007.
Due to the suspension of film and television shoots, TV Channels have been opening their vaults and have re-telecasted many of their previous shows. With Doordarshan telecasting Ramayan, local TV channels such as Sun TV and Vijay TV have also followed suit.
