The multifaceted actor, Vijay Sethupathi was last seen on screen in S.U.Arunkumar’s Sindhubaadh that had Anjali as the female lead and the actor’s son, Surya Sethupathi. He had recently won the Best Actor award in Indian Film Festival, Melbourne for his performance in Thiagarajan Kumararaja’s Super Deluxe.
He has a number of biggies lined up in his pipeline. Of which his latest trailer from his magnum opus, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy that has an ensemble cast which includes Amitabh Bachchan, Chiranjeevi, Sudeep, Nayanthara, Jagapathi Babu, Tamannaah and others, have amazed everyone.
Apart from this, he had also signed his next Telugu movie, Uppena that will feature debutant Pancha Vaisshnav Dev (Chiranjeevi's nephew) and Keerthy Shetty in lead roles. Sources close to us had revealed that the actor will be seen in an interesting and never-seen-before role.
While there were many reports doing rounds earlier that the actor has stepped down from this project, the makers have finally put the rumours to rest with an official announcement. Sharing a pic from the shooting spot, the makers wrote, “Super happy to announce that Makkal Selvan, Vijay Sethupathi garu joined the shoot of #Uppena starring debutants #PanjaVaisshnavTej, Krithi Shetty and directed by #BuchiBabuSana..
