Actor Vijay will be playing the lead role in director Lokesh Kanagaraj's third directorial, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 64, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Shanthnu Bhagyaraj, Antony Varghese and others in main roles.
Produced by Xavier Britto under the banner XB Film Creators, the makers are currently filming in Delhi on a packed schedule. Recently, director and Thalapathy 64 co-writer Rathna Kumar recounted how Vijay mimicked Lokesh Kanagaraj's voice to wish him on his birthday. The 'Aadai' director shared this amazing anecdote on his Twitter account.
On the technical front, Thalapathy 64 is shot by Sathyan Sooryan while Philomin Raj handles the editing department. Set to release on April 2020, the makers have also roped in Gouri Kishan, Brigida, Soundarya Nandakumar, Ramya Subramanian as a part of their cast.
Lokesh Kanagaraj's second film, Kaithi, recently clashed with Vijay starrer Bigil, which was helmed by Atlee on Diwali. Both the ventures have set the box office on fire and is currently running in theatres.
