From Thuppakki to Bairavaa, Vijay was singing at least one song in all his movies but then Mersal happened which didn't have a scope to explore the singing side of Thalapathy.

Vijay, as we know, is a very good singer who has sung for almost all the top music directors from Ilaiyaraaja to Anirudh. AR Rahman is one music director he has not sung for till date. Fans were hoping that to happen in Mersal but didn't happen and now that the combo is going to strike again with Sarkar, will Vijay sing for AR Rahman at least now?

Our close sources now confirm that Thalapathy has apparently not sung any number in his current film Sarkar so far and with the audio launch date fast approaching, the chances of him singing in the film looks bleak.

However, to please Vijay fans, will there be any bonus or a reprise song, crooned by Vijay? Let's wait and see.
