Films with resounding social messages have always been appreciated by people of all walks of life, ranging from lay audience to the highest ranking bureaucrat of the country. The latest film join this illustrious list is Vamshi Paidapally-directed recently released Telugu film Maharshi.
This social issue-based film was praised by the Hon'ble Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, who was impressed by the film's evocative depiction of rural life and its people. Venkaiah Naidu, in his official Twitter account wrote "“By portraying a rural theme, the film highlights the need for farm conservation and support for the elderly. Maharshi is a remarkable film that everyone needs to watch. It showcases the glory of the rural population and the importance of agriculture”
As a response, Telugu superstar and the lead star of Maharshi, Mahesh Babu had thanked the vice president for his lavish praise. The actor tweeted:
Maharshi was released on 9th May amid huge fanfare and expectations. The film narrates the story of a corporate employee's crusade to uplift a village by taking up farming.
