KG Typist Gopu is a veteran actor and a famous comedian in Tamil cinema. He has been in the cinema industry since 1965. He became Typist Gopu for his memorable role as a typist in the 1959 play Nenje Nee Vaazhga. He has been one of the most well-known artists of his time who has done comedy and support roles.

Having done about 400 films, he has acted with leading actors of three generations from MGR, Sivaji Ganesan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijay, and Ajith Kumar. He has received Tamilnadu Government’s Kalaimamani Award.

He passed away due to ill health today. His funeral will be held at 11:30 am, tomorrow (7th March) in his house. No. 3138, 6th Main road, near Government High School, Ayapakkam, Chennai - 77.

His demise is a great loss to the film industry indeed and he will be known and celebrated for his amazing works. Behindwoods along with his family, the film fraternity and fans mourn the death of veteran actor KG Typist Gopu and prays for his soul to rest in peace.
