Actor Vemal was last seen playing the lead in A. Sarkunam-directed Kalavani 2, sequel to the 2010 comedy hit Kalavani. The actor is paired opposite Oviya in the film while actors Ilavarasu, Saranya Ponvannan and RJ Vigneshkanth played supporting roles.
Meanwhile, the actor is gearing up for his next. Vemal is paired with actress Shriya Saran in an upcoming project titled Sandakaari My Boss, which will be helmed by director R. Madhesh of 'Madhurey' and 'Mohini' fame. The film is the official remake of 'My Boss', and the actor will be reprising the protagonist's role which was played by Dileep in the original.
My Boss is loosely based on the Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds starred The Proposal. On the work front, Shriya will be playing one of the female leads in Karthick Naren's second directorial Naragasooran, which is awaiting a release date.
