When long-time friends and co-actors Kishore Kumar and Anupama Kumar got together to make a film, they decided to choose a small, but powerful subject for their maiden collaboration. Their bilingual film (which they acted and produced), is called KADHAVU in Tamil and KADHA in Kannada.
KADHAVU - KADHA attempts to explore the dark recesses of the human mind, that fine line between sanity and insanity. The narrative dwells into the duality of the human psyche, the co-existence of the yin and the yang, the male and the female, the good and the bad, the black and the white.
George Orwell painted a dark world. What was science fiction once, is reality now. We live in voyeuristic times - where we allow perfect strangers into our bedrooms but can hardly recognize our own family. The concept of personal space gains new dimension as we don mask-after-mask to suppress our true feelings and thoughts. Sadism, perversion, eccentricities, love, affection, humour… they all are a part of us. We choose what we ultimately become.
KADHAVU - KADHA forces you to face your innermost fears and ultimately to take a long hard look at the mirror. The film, which is under production, is being shot exclusively in Black and White. The film honours legendary film makers Alfred Hitchcock and Stanley Kubrick. The cast and crew details will be announced shortly
