Udhayanidhi Stalin is currently awaiting the release of his next film ‘Kanne Kalaimaane’, directed by Seenu Ramasamy. He was last seen in ‘Nimir’, which released last year. In an exclusive interview with Behindwoods, he shared some exciting details about his upcoming film.
Speaking about the movie, he said “Kanne Kalaimaane is a different attempt for me. It will not be the usual Udhay movie where he’ll be roaming with a friend, fall in love with a girl, go to a foreign location for a song wearing exotic costumes, etc. It is based on the life and plight of farmers, and we shot this film entirely in villages.”
“I wanted to work with Yuvan for a long time, and it has finally happened in this movie. All the songs and music scores have shaped up well.” When asked about the director, he said “Seenu Ramasamy sir is a fine director. This movie is will out and out be a Seenu Ramasamy film. I am very happy to be a part of this project.”
Finally, when asked about his production house, he said “I’d love to make films with Vijay and Rajini. I’d like to make big films with all stars, but cinema has changed a lot. The salaries of stars have reached sky-high. But yeah, we’ll see. I would definitely want to make big films, and it will happen.”
‘Kanne Kalaimaane’ also stars Tamannah, Vadivukkarasi, Shaji Chen and Vasundhra Kashyap in crucial roles. It has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematography by Jalandhar Vasan, and is produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin under his banner Red Giant Movies. The movie is all set for a release tomorrow (22nd February).
