Known for his magnetic onscreen presence and performances, Suriya has also been an indelible part of various philanthropic activities. The actor is one of the founding members of Agaram Foundation, which aims at providing educational facilities for underprivileged students.
Agaram Foundation was founded in September 2006. Recently, Ma Foi K. Pandiarajan, Tamil Nadu's Minister of Tamil official language and Tamil culture, has complimented Suriya for his efforts in the field of education.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Pandiarajan noted that over the past decade, Suriya, without any selfish intentions, has enabled higher education services for over four-thousand students across Tamil Nadu. He then congratulated the actor and Agaram Foundation.
It must be noted that earlier this year, Suriya had vocally expressed his criticism on the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and the National Education Policy. On the work front, Suriya will be next seen in Sudha Kongara's Soorarai Pottru.
