Dhanush was last seen as Suruli in director Karthik Subbaraj's 'Jagame Thandhiram’ that was released a couple of months ago. Post which, he was engaged with his several big projects including a Hollywood film - The Gray Man for which he was in the US training and shooting his portions.
Apart from that, he also has a handful of projects lined up in his pipeline - 'Atrangi Re', 'Naane Varuven', 'Aayirathil Oruvan 2', a trilingual film with Director Sekhar Kammula, ‘Maaran’, ‘Thiruchitrambalam’ to name a few.
Coming back to the actor’s 44th film which was recently titled as Thiruchitrambalam, the film is produced by Sun Pictures and will feature music composed by Anirudh. This actor-music director combo that has reunited after a long gap has piqued the interest from the start itself.
Directed by Mithran Jawahar, the story, screenplay and dialogues are written by Dhanush himself. The film will feature Nithya Menen, Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female leads. Now, Jani Master who had earlier worked with Dhanush in co-choregraphing Rowdy Baby has taken to his social media and tweeted, “Blessed to team up with Global star @dhanushkraja Sir for #Thiruchitrambalam #D44. Get ready to witness his graceful moves to the crazy song composed by @anirudhofficial sir in theatres. Thank you #MithranJawahar & @sunpictures for the opportunity. @MenenNithya”
