Vithusayni Paramanathan (Vithu) is the first Canadian Tamil Singer to sing in an AR Rahman’s film score. Vithusayni has sung the song MAATHARE alongside Playback Singer Chinmayi, Madhura Dhara Thalluri, Akshara and Sireesha - an emotional, soul stirrer with lyrics by Lyricist Vivek.
After appreciating her vocals listening to her original songs, AR Rahman had given Vithusayni the opportunity to record for Bigil. Not only did she sing under his production, but she also sang at AR Rahman Live in Chennai 2019 alongside ADK, Shiv, Rajakumari, and Ranjit Bharot.
Vithusayni’s music journey began long back when she trained in Carnatic Vocals, Violin, Piano, and Guitar; she is also trained in Western Vocals and Hindustani Vocals at AR Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory. Vithusayni’s extensive training has led her to perform with and in front of many legends including D Imman, Anirudh, Deva, Srinivas, Unnikrishnan, Mano, Vijay Prakash, and Haricharan.
Vithusayni is also the Co-Founder of Isai Empire Inc based in Canada alongside her sister, Prathayini Paramanathan - a production company creating state of the art concerts; their most recent concert was D Imman Live in Toronto.
As an Independent Artist as well, Vithusayni has released two original songs, Oru Murai and Anuvaai. Anuvaai is an international project with Music Director Pravin Mani and Lyricist Pa Vijay. Vithusayni has many exciting projects lined up both in independent music and the cine field, and is excited to reveal them soon!
