Popular Tamil Actor-Comedian Vivekh passed away on April 17, 2021 after he suffered a cardiac arrest. His sudden death, which came as a shock to people in the film industry as well as for fans, left a permanent void in their hearts. He continues to appear in movies and entertains the audience posthumously which includes his recent OTT debut in 'Lol: Enga Siri Paapom' that released on Amazon Prime Video, where he was seen along with Actor-Comedian Shiva as the host for the show.
The show unites the best comedy entertainers of the Tamil industry under one roof in a unique setting. In the 6-episode unscripted series, Maya S Krishnan, Abishek Kumar, Premgi, Harathi Ganesh, RJ Vignesh, Sathish, Pugazh, Powerstar Srinivasan, Baggy (Bhargav Ramakrishnan), and Syama Harini engage in a battle of wits as they face their toughest challenge - to be the last one laughing.
Remembering Vivekh, Director Gautham Vasudev Menon revealed he had planned to make a film with the actor for a digital release. In an emotional post, he wrote, "I’d planned to make a film with Vivekh for a digital release & he’d said it will have to wait for his ott debut LOL-Enga Siri Paappom.That was our last conversation.Remembering that as I watch his debut on OTT & what a fun outing! Here’s to Chokku & Revolver Richard. TNLY Vivekh."
Vivekh's last release was Dharala Prabhu (2020) with Harish Kalyan. He will be seen in Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, Aranmanai 3 and Indian 2 posthumously. Meanwhile, Gautham Menon is currently working with Silambarasan in 'Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu'. The movie marks the coming together of Simbu-GVM combo for the third time after 'Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa' (2010), 'Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada' (2016) and the short film 'Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn' (2020).
