Recently, the media was alive with the latest hot news that Thalapathy Vijay's Makkal Iyakkam has been registered as a political party, courtesy of the words of Vijay's father S A Chandrasekhar. But now, Vijay has come forward with an official statement of his own about the same news.
In his statement, he has said, - "(I) came to know through the media today, that my father Mr. SA Chandrasekhar had started a political party. I hereby make it clear that I do not have any connection whatsoever directly or indirectly with the party he has launched.
"Through this, whatever future political decisions he might take will not affect me in anyway. Hence, I also ask my fans not to join in the party or work for the same just because it is my father who has started the same. I make it clear that we do not have connection towards that party. Also, if any proceedings are carried forward regarding the same with my name, pictures or our All India Vijay Makkal Iyakkam, consequential action will be taken against them."
