This upcoming film is produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram under the banner AGS Entertainment and features music by Oscar Nayagan A.R. Rahman. Bigil is shot by G.K. Vishnu and edited by Ruben.

Recently, a person named K.P. Selvah filed a suit claiming that ‘Bigil’ violated the Copyright of his story registered with the Writer’s Association and sought for an order of injunction restraining the shoot and release of the movie ‘Bigil’.

Director Atlee and the Producer AGS Entertainment Pvt Ltd through their Counsel opposed the suit and asked for rejection of the Plaint itself, arguing, among other things, that there was no cause of action even, for filing such Suit.

After fierce arguments, the Plaintiff K.P. Selvah retracted and filed an application to withdraw the suit itself with liberty to file a fresh suit. The Court permitted withdrawal of the suit but declined permission to institute a fresh suit on the same cause of action. The suit has now been dismissed as withdrawn.
