After two successful films, AR Murugadoss and Vijay are joining hands for Thalapathy 62. Once ARM is done with Spyder promotion campaign, he would focus more on this Vijay project.

Post a 3-month pre-production work, the shoot for this project is likely to start in January 2018. Except for Puli and Thalaivaa, all other Vijay films have released for a festival since Kavalan(2011). In fact, if you remove Theri from the equation which released for Tamil New Year, other Vijay films in the recent times have all released for either Pongal or Diwali.

Incidentally, both ARM-Vijay films have released for Diwali. Now that Thalapathy 62 is going on floors in January, the team could possibly release the film for Diwali 2018 which falls in November. Could this combo make it three in a row?
