Actor Bobby Simha was last seen in the film 'Agni Devi'. The film was embroiled in many controversies since the actor alleged that many scenes were shot using a body double without his consent. The actor had also registered a police complaint against the film's director and producer, John Paulraj.
On 28th March 2019, the Tamil Film Producers Council had issued a press release against Bobby Simha for failing to withdraw the complaint against the film's producers. TFPC has decided to file a police complaint against the actor for causing inconvenience to the producers of Agni Devi and the council had also requested to withdraw the FIR registered against John Paulraj.

The TFPC committee, consisting of members Mr. S.S Durairaj, Mr. Praveenkanth, Mr. Anbu, Mr. Thangaraj, Mr. 'Winner' Ramchandran, Mr. Shankar and Mr. Gnanavel along with the film's co-producer Mr. Stalin had discussed with officials from the Chennai police department in order to issue a clarification regarding the matter.
