Sarkar is Vijay's next film that is hitting the screens tomorrow. Directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures, the film has Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. The music is scored by AR Rahman and the cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan.
Ahead of the release, popular piracy website, Tamil Rockers had issued a challenge stating that they'll release the film's HD Print on the same day as the movie's release. The TFPC has now issued a statement on this issue. The statement read:
"On the occasion of Diwali, the film Sarkar, produced by Sun Pictures is releasing. We wish the film to be successful. On 23rd October, we had a meeting and we've decided that every theatre should have installed a CCTV Camera and necessary security to ensure that no one is recording any part of the film whatsoever. The deadline for the installment is 6th November, before which every theatre has to obey.
But today, the online cinema thief Tamil Rockers have posted a tweet saying they'll upload the HD version of the movie tomorrow evening, that is the evening of the release. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that no one records the film. Please handover the ones who record to the police. We expect your complete coordination. Thanks."
The movie has been sold out in all the theatres, and the demand for tickets have skyrocketed.
