Earlier, while speaking of the VPF (Virtual Print Fee), veteran director Bharathirajaa, who’s also the President of the newly formed Tamil Film Active Producers Association, had said that the VPF fee won’t be given anymore since about 12 years of payment has already been done.
Very recently, Qube had announced that the VPF fee will be waived off for about two weeks. It looks like Tamil Film Active Producers Association and Qube have reached an understanding where Qube charges will be reduced to a further extent and the association further says that there won’t be any trouble until March 31, 2021 vis-à-vis new releases.
Well, this is indeed good news for the industry which had just recently seen theatres being reopened and a good response to films such as Santhanam’s Biskoth and Santosh P Jayakumar’s Irandam Kuthu.
