Always in her comfort zone in the big screen, Taapsee Pannu was in no mood to mince her words while sharing her thoughts on her career graph. Having taken a high post her author-backed roles in Pink, Naam Shabana and Mission Mangal, Taapsee felt her stars are in the right place, going by the range of her characters and the way it had been lapped up by her growing set of admirers.

Working with top flight directors in all languages has been  a shot in the arm for the actress, bold enough to play an older woman in the recent biographical movie Saand Ki Aankh which dwelt on the lives of shooters Prakashi Tomar and Chandro

. "The huge challenge was to hold on with the prosthetic makeup for a good 10 hours in the piercing  heat which had a bearing on her skin. The moment I heard the script, instincts told me to accept the challenge and focused like a horse with blinkers on. I consider fortunate to have worked with Bachchan sir in two movies. What I could garner was there is no substitute for hard work which the thespian actor was too happy to share his experience."

With a handful of films in her kitty including the one of Mithali Raj's biopic helmed by Anurag Kashyap, Taapsee felt she has hit the next gear.

"Having been in the industry for such a long time, there had been low moments. But when a hit emerges at the next turn, there is no place for gloom. Possibly, this is the best phase of my career and the fans love is an endorsement of that."
