Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru is the most celebrated movie in the Indian film industry in 2020. With a phenomenal performance by Suriya and Aparna Balamurali, wonderful direction by Sudha Kongara, a scintillating music score by GV Prakash, realistic cinematography by Niketh Bommi, the movie won the hearts of all sections of the audiences.

Due to Covid-19 outbreak, the organisers of the Academy Awards have made plenty of changes in the rules this year. Movies released on OTT also find a place in the competition section to garner greater glory this year.
Soorarai Pottru is competing in the general category of the Oscars and is in the race for Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Director, Best Composer and Best Story Writer and other categories.
The movie is available on the Academy Screening Room from today to be viewed by the Academy Members and voted to be nominated.
