Education is a big tool for students in government schools to improve their life. Of those who study in government and government-aided schools, only 20 per cent progress to higher education. For their future, telling them that they’d have a shot at collegiate education only after cracking an entrance test post 12 years of schooling is a big injustice.
Many’s dreams of becoming a doctor has been killed because of NEET. For students’ sake, such tests are a big danger. Tamil Nadu has appointed a commission headed by Justice AK Rajan to look into the issue. The public can register their sentiments about NEET by way of an email to neetimpact2021@gmail.com by June 23.
