Versatile actor Suriya's upcoming action film 'Kaappaan' is directed by K.V. Anand and starres Mohanlal, Arya, Samuthirakani, Boman Irani and Sayyeshaa in crucial roles. The film is produced by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions.

The film had released it's gripping trailer earlier which was received very well in the social media platforms. A single song of the film 'Sirikki' had released earlier and the audio launch of the film happened today in a grand event which was attended by Rajinikanth, Shankar and Vairamuthu as guests of honour.

During Suriya's speech in the function, he said "I think the only strength I have is the selfless love I receive from my fans. That love defines my growth and my identity. This event's hero Harris, has been with me from Kaaka Kaaka and through many important steps of my life. I thank all the musicians and technicians involved in the music production." Suriya added "K.V sir is very important part of my film journey. His 'Ayan' took me to another level. Like Shankar said, K.V sir works like 'Ratchasan' and 'Asuran'. He is super workaholic."

Talking about the film, Suriya stated "This story will be relevant in villages to foreign cities. I cannot thank Lyca Subaskaran sir enough, he has been like family. This film is very important for me and it is for everyone who have worked in this." he also said that the only scenes that was difficult for him was to be romantic with Sayyeshaa in front of Aarya in a joking manner. 

During his speech, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal said that "I know K.V. Anand for 25 years, since 'Thenmavin Kombath' (Malayalam film) and with this film, he will prove he is the finest with the craft. When the script was narrated to me, I was thrilled to work with Suriya. He has an irresistable passion as an actor"
