The terrific combo - Superstar Rajinikanth and AR Murugadoss’ much-awaited cop-flick, Darbar had hit the big screens on January 9th and is being received well at the box-office. The film featured Lady superstar Nayanthara as the female lead.
Apart from the leads, the film also featured Suniel Shetty, Yogi Babu, Nivetha Thomas, Jatin Sarna, Prateik Babbar, Nawab Shah, baby Manasvi Kottachi amongst others in prominent roles.
Bankrolled by Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions, the film’s cinematography is handled by Santhosh Sivan while Sreekar Prasad handles the editing department. The film features music by Anirudh Ravichander.
While it was reported exclusively this morning that the film had a Mega Grand Opening in Chennai in 4 days alone collecting a whopping amount of 7.41 crores, now the makers have revealed the worldwide collections over the weekend. Accordingly, Darbar storms with a stupendous record of 150Cr worldwide. Woah!
