The satellite rights of Vijay's blockbuster film Theri had a stiff competition, and finally, after 1 and half years from its release, Sun TV has acquired the telecast rights of the film.

Sun TV has officially confirmed the news through their official Twitter handle. They stated that they have also acquired the rights of Dhanush's recent film Velaiyilla Pattathari 2. It must be noted that Sun TV recently purchased Ajith's Vivegam rights as well.
