According to the latest developments, the iconic Sun Network is all set to open their new channels in Marathi and Bengali languages thereby making their entry into the television markets of the said languages.
 

"There is no definitive date. It’s all work in progress. It will happen within this financial year. Maybe not all new markets this year but one new market this year. We are also focussed and interested only in regional markets.” Sun TV Network president R Mahesh Kumar was quoted as saying.

SL Narayanan of Sun Group said that the team is confident of making a profit on this year's IPL as their team, Sunrisers Hyderabad, have become the Runners-up of the tournament, and this will be an added bonus on the start of their new journey.
