Sarkar is an upcoming film that has Vijay in the lead role, while Keerthy Suresh and Varalaxmi Sarathnkumar play crucial supporting roles. The movie also has Yogi Banu, Lallu, and others in important roles as well. The film is directed by AR Murugadoss, and produced by Sun Pictures Kalanithi Maran.

We had got in touch with actor Lallu, has some crucial scenes with Thalapthy himself. He revealed that this one too will have a social message, like Vijay films and Murugadoss films. Talking exclusively to Behindwoods, he said:

"Thalapathy had talked about Fishermen issue in Sura. In Bairavaa, he would have spoken about Education system, and in Kaththi the farmer's difficulties were in the spotlight. On the other hand, we know what kind of film Ramana was. Murugadoss also makes it a point ot have a social message in his films.

So, if you ask me whose film is it? Vijay's or Murugadoss'? My answer would be, it is a people's film.", said Lallu.
