Sarkar is an upcoming film directed by AR Murugadoss, starring Vijay and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. The film is produced by Sun Pictures and has music by AR Rahman.
It has become a regularity for many people to file cases against film stories and titles, suggesting that it has been plagiarised. Now, to keep away from last-minute complications, Sun Pictures have made a breaking move in court.
They have now filed a caveat petition in the Madras High Court. This petition refers to a precautionary measure taken by a party when they have a presentiment that a case could be filed against them in court.
This comes after many claims against the story and title of Sarkar that surfaced on social media. Now, Sun Pictures' petition would mean that the opinion of the production house would be sought before moving the case forward and ordering a stay on the movie.
For both Vijay's and AR Murugadoss's films, we have earlier seen cases being filed. Their most recent collaboration Kaththi had also faced issues regarding the story.
