But the latest reports that are coming doesn't sound good for the theatre owners. Chennai Corporation has started issuing notices to theatres for Entertainment tax in addition to GST.
According to the revised rule, 10% will be charged for Tamil films and 20% for non-Tamil movies. The municipal taxes will be levied with effect from 27th September.
