The Ravi Udayawar-directed Mom is late Sridevi's last film as actor. The superstar's untimely demise was a huge loss to the Indian film fraternity. The actress started her career in Tamil cinema as a child artiste and went on to act in over three-hundred films. The actress has worked with many yesteryear superstars.
Mom, which also marked the actress' 300th film recently released in China on May 10 after a decent run in the Indian box office. The film had managed to garner more than 40 crore during its three-day opening weekend at the Chinese box office. Now, recent reports suggest that the film has touched the 100 crore-mark at the box office.
The film was distributed in the Chinese market by Zee Studios. The film also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna in crucial roles with A.R Rahman composing music for the film. Sridevi's performance was felicitated in the 65th National film awards.
