The South Indian Cini and TV Outdoor Unit Technicians Union is currently on strike in Chennai's Valluvar Kottam area. After a series of strikes hitting the Tamil industry, this one seems to be on a serious note as well.

The union has two major demands for which they are expecting producers to settle. They want their evicted union to be included in FEFSI again, and they want their remuneration as per past practice. The union says that they will work only with those producers who are willing to oblige.

If not, they have said that they will be on a hunger strike till death.
